This license covers the data files, samples and API responses you get from Kalshi Eye. It is part of the terms of service. Which uses are allowed depends on your plan.
Explorer (free): personal research
You may use the data for your own non-commercial research and learning. You may publish findings, charts and small excerpts (up to 1,000 rows) with credit to Kalshi Eye.
Research and Full book: internal research
You may use the data inside one company or organization for research, backtesting, building and running your own trading and models, including trading on your results. Only the account’s seat holders may access the files. You may publish findings, charts and small excerpts (up to 1,000 rows) with credit to Kalshi Eye. Academic accounts may also use the data for teaching and for papers, including in replication packages limited to the excerpts the paper needs.
Institutional: commercial use and redistribution
Using the data in a product or service for others, sharing it outside your organization, or redistributing it needs an Institutional agreement, which sets out the allowed uses. Email sales@kalshieye.com.
Not allowed on any plan without an Institutional agreement
- Selling, sublicensing or sharing the files or substantial parts of them.
- Building a competing data product or feed from the data.
- Sharing accounts, API keys or signed download links.
- Training models offered to others on the data when the model can reproduce it.
The free sample on Hugging Face
The one-day sample published on Hugging Face (KalshiEye/kalshi-order-book-sample) is licensed separately under CC BY-NC 4.0: free for non-commercial use with credit to Kalshi Eye. Everything else follows the plan terms above.
Venue data
The data records public activity on Kalshi, Polymarket, Limitless, Chainlink and crypto exchanges. Those venues may have their own terms about their data and markets; you are responsible for following them where they apply to you. Kalshi Eye is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
After your plan ends
You may keep using data downloaded under a paid plan, under the license that applied when you downloaded it, unless your account was closed for breaking the terms.
